Barbara Pym. (Favorite Pym passages.) I have started a project, or perhaps a hobby, of annotating Barbara Pym's novels. I'm looking up her poetry allusions, and also any words and phrases she uses that were unfamiliar to me on a first reading. This is a long-term project, which is why I think of it more as a hobby, something to do in my spare time for my own enjoyment. I am not writing for publication, so I don't have to be scholarly, so I feel free to use Wikipedia as a source on occasion. I am still only several pages into her first novel.
